Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that apply to anyone using KoalaDoc to send, sign or receive documents.

1. Lawful use

You must use KoalaDoc in accordance with all applicable Australian laws, including the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use KoalaDoc to:

  • send fraudulent, deceptive, misleading or forged documents;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or send documents on behalf of a party without authority;
  • distribute malware, phishing content, or links intended to harvest credentials;
  • send unsolicited marketing or spam in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth);
  • upload content that infringes intellectual property rights or that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or obscene; or
  • attempt to probe, scan, reverse engineer or interfere with the security or integrity of the platform.

3. Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, signing links, and any access codes sent to recipients. Notify us promptly at support@koaladoc.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Fair use of system resources

You must not use KoalaDoc in a way that places an unreasonable load on the platform, such as automated bulk sending outside of normal product flows, or generating excessive SMS or email volume.

5. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access, refuse to send specific envelopes, or remove content where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached. Serious breaches may be reported to law enforcement.
