Breach Notification
Our process under Australia's Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.
KoalaDoc is committed to transparency. If we suffer an eligible data breach as defined by Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we respond using the process below.
1. Detection & containment
On detection, our team isolates affected systems within one hour and begins a forensic assessment.
2. Assessment (within 30 days)
We assess whether the breach is "eligible" — meaning it is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals.
3. Notification
Eligible breaches are reported to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and to affected individuals as soon as practicable, including what happened, what information was involved, and what you can do in response.
4. Report a concern
If you believe your account or documents may have been compromised, email security@koaladoc.com.au immediately. We acknowledge all reports within one business hour.
